Hi

Hello fellow Internet surfer and welcome to my homepage. I'm very glad that you made it this far . . . and I hope that you'll stick around long enough to get to know just a little bit more about me and my life. After all, these days, acquaintances that begin in cyberspace are often the most real, vivid, and long-lasting - and maybe that will be true of us.

My Background

I was born in Munich/Germany, in the area of which I spent most of my life. Back in '97, I went to Linz/Austria, where I spent two years achieving some first-hand experience of the more relaxing Austrian way of life. The following six years I was kind of commuting between my university city of Siegen (well - it barely deserves to be called "city") and the place of my roots - Munich.

The reason for my recent traveling dates back a long time: At the age of 16 I had to make up my mind whether to spend my little fortune (as of then) for a guitar or a home computer. The result is that now people call me (being 46 now) a computer geek (and this is still a quite positive expression ;-) And - keeping up with computer technology has kept me traveling...

My Interests

I guess that the best - and fastest - way to really get to know me is by discovering what I like. Well - keep on reading...

I'm just fond for the mediterranean way of life (drowning in olive oil and red wine must be a wonderful death, don't you think?). But I also love the mountains which I have to pass to get to the mediterranean. They're always worth a hike...

I get inspired by the good ole rock'n'roll music of the seventies (for example, Jethro Tull), and furthermore, by Spanish and Italian singers like Manu Chao, Paolo Conte and Zucchero. Why not just listen cross-over: Ojos de Brujo ?

What about movies? Yes, I'm always ready to go out and see the latest pictures of the wizards of the camera. But I'm a little selective: The latest movie of Almodòvar will drag me into the next cinema in record time - and the latest movie with Stallone will winkle me out again just as fast...

My Passion

It was back in 2007 when a new passion entered my cyberspace, later the rest of my life... Her name is Salomè, and she's an expert in reading your palm.

Besides that, she's got many more talents, and is currently turning my life upside down. An excellent researcher, her greatest desire is to ever see a Wolpertinger in the wild. Go for it, Salo!

Late-Breaking News (April 13, 2008):
Salo to enter Paella cooking competition with my new neighbor:
After glamorously outcompeting her brother in-law José, Salo is going to attend the next level of competition with my new neighbor from León (Spain), Marcos.
